Inequality.org | A recent poll found that nearly half of people in the US are having difficulty affording basic necessities like groceries, utility bills, health care, housing, and transportation. A new Institute for Policy Studies report shows that the typical pay at the largest low-wage employers is so low that workers can’t cover basic necessities and often have to rely on public assistance.
